Dr. Andi Muhammad Sadat, SE., M.SM., Ph.D

Dr. Andi Muhammad Sadat is an Assistant Professor in the Management Department, Faculty of Economics and Business at Universitas Negeri Jakarta, currently serving as the Head of the Applied Digital Marketing Undergraduate Program. With over 15 years of academic experience, he has established himself as a leading expert in digital marketing, consumer behavior, and entrepreneurship management.

Dr. Andi’s academic journey began with earning his Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Hasanuddin University in 1999, followed by a Master of Science in Management from the University of Indonesia in 2003, culminating in a Ph.D in Business and Management from NBS-UK Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology, Taiwan in 2020. His academic achievements have been supported by various prestigious international scholarships, including the STUST-MOST Taiwan Scholarship and the Islamic Development Bank Scholarship.

As a globally-minded academician, Dr. Andi is actively engaged in international education as a Visiting Professor at three renowned universities: Universitas Malaysia Sabah, Chiang Mai University Thailand, and Philippine Women’s University Philippines. His international experience also includes serving as a Representative Consultant for the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Geneva, demonstrating international recognition of his expertise.

In the field of research, Dr. Andi has made significant contributions through more than 30 publications in international and nationally accredited journals. His research encompasses contemporary topics such as digital transformation in marketing, sustainable tourism, fintech and Islamic banking, and consumer behavior in the digital era. Some of his recent publications that have gained international attention include research on the switching intention of conventional bank customers to Islamic banks published in the Journal of Islamic Marketing, and a study on campervan tourism in Indonesia featured in Enlightening Tourism Journal.

As a prolific author, Dr. Andi has published more than 10 books, including recent works such as “Managing Creativity and Innovation in Business” (2024), “Digital Global Marketing” (2023), and “Consumer Behavior & Marketing Strategy” (2023). His books serve as important references for both academics and practitioners in management and marketing fields.

Dr. Andi’s commitment to institutional development is reflected through various leadership positions he has held, including Head of ISEI FE Commissariat UNJ (2024-2027) and previously as Head of the Entrepreneurship Center UNJ and Head of Quality Assurance for the Doctoral Program in Management Science. His professional experience is further enriched by his background as a management consultant at various leading companies and his former role as Expert Staff at the National Consumer Protection Agency of the Republic of Indonesia (BPKN).

Dr. Andi’s expertise encompasses various strategic areas in modern management, ranging from digital marketing and e-commerce, consumer behavior and brand management, entrepreneurship and innovation management, to sustainable business and green marketing. His research approach, which combines cutting-edge theory with practical applications, has made him a respected figure among both academics and business practitioners.
